Warm through the Winter

Winter in Ukraine is cold and wet. Now imagine you’re in the trenches, away from the people you love, facing an enemy that’s trying to kill you.

The military does its best to supply its troops with ammunition and food. But it’s hard to keep up with the pace of replacement for many basic items that keep them dry and warm.

That’s why, each year starting around October, we begin shipping and personally delivering the kind of stuff that makes winter safer and more comfortable for defenders.

You can buy a pair of thermal socks for under a buck, so imagine what you can do for more.

This past winter, we stepped in to make things a little bit more bearable by providing:

  • 6,990 pairs of hand warmers
  • 900 pairs of thermal socks
  • 360 gas canisters
  • 61 thermal balaclavas
  • 55 sets of thermal underwear
  • 40 gas heaters
  • 20 electric heaters
  • 2 giant barrels of antifreeze

(We may have snuck hundreds of chocolate bars and some thank you notes from school children in there as well, too.)
