Reliable power keeps essential services running. When the grid fails due to attacks on energy infrastructure, medical care, heating, communications, water systems, and basic daily life are disrupted. Even if the war ends tomorrow, Ukraine’s grid isn’t ready for next winter after all it’s been through.
Roxolani Trust works with charity partners to fund, source, deliver, and install backup power generators for:
- Hospitals outside of major settlements and which face regular power disruption.
- Group homes for vulnerable populations like the disabled, elderly, or orphaned.
- Schools outside of major settlements and which face regular power disruption or lack grid connection.
- Villages that have no access to power for basics like charging phones, charging battery-powered devices like flashlights, and operating water filters.

Here’s how we make it happen:
The Anchor ⚓ : The Whitmer Trudel Charitable Foundation has generously provided the anchor donation of $100k.
The Facilitator 💳: The BCU Foundation—which supports Ukrainian-Canadian projects and has raised funds for Ukrainian hospitals—facilitates all donations and issues tax receipts to Canadian donors. Bob L., the foundation’s Chair, will personally help fundraise, too!
The Buyer 🔋 : Through our Swedish charity partners Operation Change and Power Up Ukraine, we buy all the power systems in Europe where they are cheaper. Our Swedish friends ship the units to us in Ukraine by truck for free.
The Implementer 🏥 : Roxolani Trust screens and assesses recipients, delivers and installs the units, and reports back to donors on their impact.
